KWAZULU-NATAL – On the eve of the ceremony to handover a certificate of recognition to King Misuzulu ka Zwelithini, the Police Ministry and South African Police Service (SAPS) will conduct a safety inspection of the venue that will host the handover ceremony.
\nPolice Minister, General Bheki Cele and the National Commissioner of the SAPS, General Fannie Masemola, will on Friday 28 October 2022, receive a safety operational plan, put in place by the SAPS to safeguard the event.
\nThis safety briefing will be followed by a walk-about at the venue.
\nThe certificate handover ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, 29 October 2022 and is expected to be attended by over 48 thousand VIPs, monarchs, dignitaries and guests.
\nMembers of the media are invited to attend the walk-about which will take place as follows:
