{"id":35212,"date":"2021-11-15T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-11-15T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/southafricagazette.com\/?guid=f69f039f5802a7ab0bfa7a88a67554bb"},"modified":"2021-11-15T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2021-11-15T00:00:00","slug":"apostle-and-accomplice-appear-in-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southafricagazette.com\/apostle-and-accomplice-appear-in-court\/","title":{"rendered":"Apostle and accomplice appear in court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EASTERN CAPE- Lonwabo Tede (52) and Vuyolethu Namba (37) appeared in the Zwelitsha Magistrates court today facing charges of trafficking in persons, molestation and forced hard labour.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The pair was arrested in the early hours of Saturday, 13 November 2021 following a Hawks&#8217; Serious Organised Crime Investigation which began in September last year into sexual abuse of vulnerable people, allegedly trafficked from different areas in Eastern Cape and Western Cape to Tede\u2019s church.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Thus far, seven victims who are males and females have come forward to lay charges.  These victims came through the church between 2005 and 2020.
