Up-date on the killing of six people died during a motor vehicle accident

The seventh person who was the driver of the motor vehicle involved in this accident, passed on while admitted in hospital this morning on 2018-07-16.

The Police in Sebayeng outside Polokwane are still investigating a case of culpable homicide which occured on saturday the 14th-07-2018-07 during the day when six (06) people perished during a motor vehicle accident.

It is alleged that a white Toyota Venture panel van was transporting passengers along the R81 road between Polokwane and Mooketsi. When it approaches a curve at ga-Makgoba village near ga-Dikgale, it lost control and overturned several times to the side of the road until it stand on its roof.

During this accident, five (05) occupants died instantly and the sixth one was certified dead upon arrival at the hospital. The deceased are three (03) children, one (01) man and two (02) women on which one of the women is believed to be pregnant.

The identification all the deceased is still unfolding and anyone who can assist the Police on this process, may go to Sebayeng Police Station. The cause of this accident is still not clear at this stage but the Police investigations will tell as they are still continuing.
