Police arrest suspects alleged to be involved in series of house robberies

Police arrested seven men and one woman believed to be a syndicate that is behind a series of house robberies in Ekurhuleni. Two unlicensed firearms and ammunition were found in possession of the suspects when they were arrested in Boksburg today.

It is alleged that the gang collude with domestic workers who will provide the syndicate with information and valuables in the house.

The intelligent driven operation led to the arrest of the suspects who were also found with goods believed to been taken during the house robberies.

It is alleged that the woman would approach the domestic workers and convince them to give information about the house before it can be attacked.

The arrested suspects will appear at Boksburg Magistrate’s Court in due course.
