New Jersey on Friday reported another 37 COVID-19 deaths and 28,512 confirmed positive cases, the highest number of daily cases reported thus far, as residents head into yet another New Year’s Eve foiled by the pandemic’s winter surge. The new mark is the latest in a series of record-setting days for the Garden State. On Thursday, New Jersey recorded 27,975 cases.
