EC Education signs pledge for Irregular Free Exams

Education MEC Fundile Gade invites you to the provincial pledge signing ceremony meant to ensure the produce credible and irregularity free final examinations tomorrow, Friday, October 11th, 2019 at Bhekizulu senior secondary school in the Libode Circuit Management Center, in the OR Tambo Coastal district at 10:00 am.

Learners from 26 provincial schools identified as high risks, and have been previously involved in irregularities as well as those that have high numbers of learners which are identified as high risk to be part of this ceremony.

The main objective of the pledge signing is creating an awareness to candidates that will be writing the final examination as well as parents and teachers. All will be expected to honour the regulations relating to examinations which includes dismissal if found guilty practising one. Apart from the normal security measures of ensuring that learners do not bring banned material to the examination room, learners are encouraged in this event to do good, to avoid being dismissed and expelled.

The media is also invited to attend this pledge signing ceremony and attending journalists will be afforded a one on one interview with stakeholders including learners.
