Accused sentenced to 15 years in prison for murder

NQAMAKWE – A 54-year-old accused was sentenced on Monday, 24 October 2022 in the Tsomo Regional court to 15 years imprisonment for the murder of a 55-year-old man.
The murder was committed at Phakade Village, Nqamakwe on 12 March 2020. The accused Gcinikhaya Mpambani had a quarrel with Monde Gubevu which led to the subsequent fatal stabbing of Gubevu. The victim proceeded to his home and was rushed to hospital where he passed away. A case of murder was opened for investigation at Nqamakwe police station.
The accused was traced, arrested and charged for murder.
