Missing person sought by Pinetown police

Pinetown police are appealing to the members of the community to assist them in locating the missing person, Nobuhle Mhlongo (15) from Wyebank. She was last seen on 25 July 2018 at her home getting ready to go to school at Wyebank Secondary School. In the afternoon, her mother went to school to pick her up but she was not there. A missing person docket was opened at Pinetown SAPS for further investigation.

Swift reaction by police leads to armed robbery suspects arrest in Lwandle

Western Cape: Two armed robbery suspects were arrested as result of swift reaction by Lwandle and Somerset West police members and an off-duty police officers following a business robbery incident which took place this morning at about 07:55 at Paliso Street in Asanda Village.

It is alleged that the complainant was at his shop when two suspects entered the shop with firearms. They fled with cash and cigarettes in their getaway car which was parked in a nearby drive way. Police who were nearby in the vicinity immediately pursued the suspects and arrested the two in possession of the stolen items and cash. An unlicensed firearm was also discovered and seized. Both suspects, age 23 and 27 will appear in the Strand Magistrate Court on Monday.

Police seize twelve firearms and apprehend three suspects

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has commended members who were last night 2018-08-02 involved in the recovery of twelve (12) firearms and ammunition, and the arrest of two suspects.

A well-coordinated intelligence driven operation was established following the receipt of information on the existence of firearms at Solomondale next to Mankweng outside Polokwane.

This sting operation, which comprised members from Crime Intelligence, Mankweng Cluster Task Team and Detectives, yielded instant results when the duo were nabbed and the following firearms and ammunition recovered:

* 01 x Star 9mm pistol.

* 03 x Norinco pistols.

* 05 x Star pistols.

* 01 x Arcus pistol

* 01 x Rossi revolver.

* 01 x Girsan pistol.

* 15 x live 9mm rounds.

Investigations into the origin of these firearms and whether they were previously used in the commission of other crimes are still unfolding.

“The removal of these firearms from the wrong hands will go a long way in ridding this province off serious and violent crimes”, concluded General Ledwaba.

The suspects, aged 22 and 25 will appear in Mankweng Magistrate’s court on Monday 2018-08-06 on charges of unlawful possession of arms and ammunition.

Murder suspect arrested

KING WILLIAM’S TOWN: Ngqamakwe police arrested a 31-year-old man for the alleged murder of another man also aged 31. It is alleged that both men were at to a local tavern at Sihlabeni locality, Kotana Village, Ngqamakwe on Thursday, 02 August 2018 at about 19:00.

According to information the suspects stabbed each other during an alleged dispute. The motive behind the dispute and the murder is not known however police investigations continue. The deceased ran to the tavern where he collapsed and died. The suspect was traced and arrested and he will appear before the Ngqamakwe Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 06 August 2018 on a murder charge. The identity of the deceased is still being withheld as some of his relatives have not yet been informed of his murder.

Police apprehend contact and trio crime suspect

The relentless efforts made through the ongoing Intelligence led Joint Operations in a number of Clusters of Limpopo, continue to yield positive and meaningful results. In the Seshego Cluster, joint operations led by the Cluster Commander Major General Sam Mokgonyana composed of various Police Units, led to the arrest of a number of suspects for contact and TRIO crimes.

These arrests follow the spate of crimes such as murders, arson and robberies which occurred in the Cluster Stations in recent days. In the Seshego and Matlala Policing precincts, two (02) suspects aged 23 and 26 were arrested for numerous business robberies they allegedly committed around Moletjie and Matlala villages. Afterwards, they led the police to a house where the stolen properties were sold.

These suspects were positively linked to 14 cases of business robberies in the Seshego Policing area outside Polokwane. When the operations were unfolding, a 26 year old man was arrested for attempted murder and arson that took place over the past weekend at Kwena Moloto1 outside Seshego. It is alleged that the victim aged 43 years old was at home when his ex-boyfriend knocked at the door and politely asked for access in order to resolve their relationship problems. After opening the door, the boyfriend attacked with a knife and stabbed her several times. He then set the house on fire and fled from the scene.

The suspect was subsequently arrested after thorough police investigations. Meanwhile in Mogwadi outside Polokwane two (02 suspects aged 25 and 26 were arrested for house robbery which occurred at Mogwadi Fatima this week.

It is alleged that the suspects crawled under the fence, gained entry to the house, attacked the local Medical Doctor’s wife by pointing her with firearms and subsequently, robbed her cash amount of money before they fled the scene.

During the arrest, two (02) knives and a toy gun resembling a firearm were confiscated. All the arrested suspects are expected to appear before the Seshego and Senwabarwana Magistrate Courts respectively soon. The Police investigations are underway.

The SAPS Limpopo Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has applauded the Cluster Commander of Seshego Major General Mokgonyana and his Team for the job well done.
