New generation of engineering and science excellence created by Sasol Inzalo Foundation

Minister of Science and Technology Naledi Pandor and the Sasol Inzalo Foundation will celebrate outstanding engineering and science graduates at a ceremony this week.

This year, 105 students with Sasol Inzalo bursaries will graduate with BEng, BSc, MSc and PhD degrees from 18 universities across the country. To date, the Fellows in this Science Fellowship programme has produced more than 500 peer-reviewed publications, and two Patent Cooperation Treaty patents in environmental chemistry.

Sasol Inzalo is holding a graduation ceremony for its bursary holders to celebrate their achievements.

The Sasol Inzalo Foundation was established as part of South Africa’s single biggest broad-based black economic empowerment equity transaction. The Foundation is a public benefit organisation, governed by an independent board of trustees. It is an operating foundation that drives excellence in science, technology, engineering and mathematics education all levels of the education value chain.
